Steve Dawson is a Canadian guitarist and singer. ==Career== Steve Dawson has produced albums by Jim Byrnes, Kelly Joe Phelps, Old Man Luedecke, The Sojourners, and The Deep Dark Woods. He has won two Juno Awards. His "frequent collaborators () Chris Gestrin (keys), Keith Lowe (bass), and Geoff Hicks (drums)". His 2004 Juno Award was for Contemporary Jazz Album with the Great Uncles of the Revolution. His 2003 Juno Award was for Roots/Traditional Group Album with Zubot and Dawson. In 2007, 2008, and 2009 he won the producer of the year award from the Western Canadian Music Awards.〔 His guitar playing has been called "organic () flowing", and it includes "...amazing slide and fingerstyle guitar work,... Hawaiian guitar, and psychedelic pedal steel" playing. His album ''Nightshade'' was "listed in the “Top 10 Guitar Albums of the Year - 2011” by ''Acoustic Guitar Magazine''."
